BEIJING, Sept. 14 (Xinhuanet) -- Russian media reports say another convoy of about 250 trucks filled with 2,000 tons of humanitarian aid, crossed the border into Ukraine on Saturday morning.
The Russian emergency ministry, which oversaw a previous humanitarian aid delivery to Ukraine, could not be reached for comment. The Moscow office of the International Red Cross said it had not been informed about the new convoy.
In August, Ukrainian officials described the first aid convoy from Russia as an invasion of the country, and loudly protested any attempts by Russia to unilaterally bring in aid. Russia eventually sent its trucks into east Ukraine without the oversight of the International Red Cross, which contravened an agreement that was eventually reached between Ukraine and Russia.
