Intel recently announced a collaboration with Opening Ceremony to create its line of luxury smart MICA bracelets with a sapphire touchscreen, which lets you receive texts and notifications.

Nike teamed up with designer Tory Burch for its Fitbit Flex line - a band that helps users set health goals and track their progress.

Continuum is one of several fashion firms using the technology to create intricate designs for their shoe collection. The opportunities seem endless but for technology to make its mark in the fashion community, the motto is beauty before business.
