BEIJING, July 22 (Xinhuanet) -- China has urged an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Palestine, calling for a truce deal that is acceptable for all parties. Wu Sike, China’s special envoy to the Middle East also said China supports Palestinians uniting to solve the current issue.
"In the current circumstances, the coordination inside Palestine is very important. So, we support Palestine as a whole to solve the problem. A joint effort to accomplish the ceasefire is in accordance with the interest of all parties," Wu said,
Wu also told a CCTV's reporter that he believes a thorough solution to the conflict in the Gaza strip is the foundation of an independent Palestinian state with full sovereignty. Wu Sike is on his visit to Egypt and Qatar to broker peace for the Gaza district.
