BEIJING, July 19 (Xinhuanet) -- German Chancellor Angela Merkel says a ceasefire is needed in Ukraine to allow for a rapid independent investigation.
The Chancellor stated that those responsible for the Malaysia airline being downed must be brought to justice. Chancellor Merkel also said Russia must work towards a political solution to the Ukraine crisis.
On Thursday, Chancellor Merkel expressed her grief for all the victims of the crash and extended her condolences to the families of the victims killed in the crash.
