BEIJING, July 13 (Xinhuanet) -- U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel has met with visiting Japanese Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera at the Pentagon.
On Friday, they discussed revising guidelines for the two country’s defence cooperation. Hagel said that the new guidelines should be in place by the end of this year. He also threw his support behind Japan’s new collective defense policy. But at the same time, Hagel emphasized the importance of establishing constructive relations with China.
