BEIJING, June 15 (Xinhuanet) -- Day Three of the World Cup the opening match of Group C has just finished, with Colombia beating Greece 3-0. The South American side came into the tournament missing its biggest gun, Ramadel Falcao. But that didn’t leave Colombia without fire-power.
Left back Pablo Armero’s early goal gave Colombia a 1-0 lead at halftime. Armero squeezed in the shot in the fifth minute, after midfielder James Rodriguez let Juan Cuadrado’s cross roll across the danger area.
Teofilo Gutierrez got the second goal for Colombia in the second half, after a corner was flicked on by Abel Aguilar. And James Rodriguez wrapped up the game with a third goal in the three minutes of added time.
