BEIJING, June 4 (Xinhuanet) -- The head of Thailand’s new Reconciliation Center for Reform has revealed details of a three-stage plan, put forward by the military authority.
Representatives of various agencies will be invited to form working groups, which will canvass and compile information and opinions from people throughout the country. The feedback will be used to form an operational plan, which will be submitted to the military government by the end of this month. The plan will then be finalized for implementation from July. It comes after the military announced last week that there would be no general election for 15 months.
Meanwhile on Tuesday, the military lifted a curfew in Pattaya, Koh Samui and Phuket Province. All three are popular tourist destinations in Thailand. The curfew remains in effect from midnight to 4 a.m. in the rest of the country, including the capital, Bangkok.
