BEIJING, May 18 (Xinhuanet) -- Google and Apple have reached an agreement to settle all of their lawsuits against each other on smartphone patents.
Two of the world’s largest technology giants say they are dropping nearly two dozen mobile patent lawsuits in US and European courts. In a joint statement, both stated they would work together on patent reform, but the deal does not include technology cross licensing. Apple and companies that made phones utilising Google’s Android software earlier filed dozens of lawsuits against each another in a bid to protect their technology.
