BEIJING, April. 4 (Xinhuanet) -- President Xi Jinping has met Al-Fatih Izz al-deen, Speaker of the Sudanese National Assembly, at the Great Hall of the People, Beijing.
President Xi hailed cooperation and mutual support between the two countries, citing the benefits to the two peoples. He said China is willing to further promote and expand cooperation with Sudan in all fields, and bring bilateral ties to a new era. Xi Jinping said friendly exchanges between the legislative bodies of the two nations are important to bilateral ties, and for enhancing friendship and exchanges.
Al-Fatih thanked China for its support for Sudan’s economic and social development. He said Sudan is willing to further cooperate with China in energy, mining and infrastructure, and coordinate on international and regional issues. He also promised that the Sudanese national assembly would abide by all agreements signed between the two governments.
