Thai protest leader wants live TV debate with PM

English.news.cn   2014-02-27 21:25:46

BEIJING, Feb. 27 (Xinhuanet) -- Thai anti-government protest leader, Suthep Thaugsuban, has stated he’s willing to appear in a live TV debate with caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.

Suthep says he’s ready to be the people’s representative and talk politics with Yingluck. He added that he and Yingluck should be the only two participants.

Yingluck responded by saying she doubted a debate would end anti-government protests and allow for elections to be held.
