BEIJING, Feb. 22 (Xinhuanet) -- The United States and Japan are wrapping up their military exercise off the coast of California. Footage released by Japanese media show Japanese soldiers aboard U.S. amphibious vehicles.
Japan's Self-Defense Forces and the U.S. Marine Corps simulated recapturing a remote island. Meanwhile the U.S. is now leading another joint drill with the military forces of South Korea, Japan and Australia.
The four countries began their war games on Monday and will include airborne interception, air defense and attack, emergency target attack and close rage air support.
The U.S. sent the largest number of troops, followed by Japan. The exercise runs until February 28th.
