BEIJING, Feb. 13 (Xinhuanet) -- We have obtained footage from security cameras in Keriya County in Hotan Prefecture, which show the moment when the quake hit northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. This video shows people evacuating the local police station when the quake hit at around 5:20 pm Beijing time.
This footage was also recorded at business center square shows a Uygur girl finishing her tightrope performance just as the earthquake hit. Luckily, she was not hurt.
And in the supermarket, this video shows the quake continued for about a minute as people evacuated the store. According to locals this is the second quake above 7-magnitude that has rocked the county in the past 10 years.
