BEIJING, Feb. 13 (Xinhuanet) -- Scientists in China's space program say the country's lunar rover, known as "Jade Rabbit", is "alive" and receiving signals from earth again. However, a number of mechanical problems remain.
Mission control says scientists are still working to fix "control abnormalities", and that the rover "can be saved".
On Monday, the rover failed to wake from its scheduled dormancy. The rover malfunctioned in late January, before entering a planned dormancy period due to a lack of sunlight at the landing site.
China's Chang'e-3 probe landed on the moon in mid December. The Jade Rabbit rover was expected to operate for three months.
