BEIJING, Dec. 19 (Xinhuanet) -- Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has met Israeli and Palestinian leaders as he continued his tour of the Middle East. On Wednesday, Wang held separate talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
During the talks, he outlined Beijing’s commitment to finding a peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
"I hope that Israel and Palestine will truly see this historic opportunity to meet each other, and send out messages of goodwill to each other. I hope they will eventually find the way and means of resolving their problems through peace talks, so that we will be able to see true peace between Israel and Palestine, which will lay a good foundation for broader peace and stability in the Middle East region." Wang said.
