BEIJING, Nov. 15 (Xinhuanet) -- At the recently-concluded the Third Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee, Chinese leaders have laid out their vision for the next decade of government reforms. According to a communique about the reforms released after the key session, the CPC has vowed to establish a sound system to protect the country’s environment.
The communique said that while constructing an eco-civilization, it is imperative to build a sound system and to protect the environment through the system. The system concerning property rights of natural resources and the administration of their use should be improved.
The document urged drawing a "red line" for ecological protection, implementing a system of paid use of resources and ecological compensation, and reforming the system for the protection and administration of the environment.
