BEIJING, Oct. 22 (Xinhuanet) -- Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev is scheduled to hold talks with his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang. The talks on Tuesday are part of the annual regular meeting between the prime ministers of the two countries.
Medvedev, who began his three day official visit to China on Monday is expected to focus on trade, investment and large scale energy projects in his talks with Premier Li.
The two sides are expected to sign around 40 deals to further upgrade bilateral ties in various fields including manufacturing and agricultural sectors. The two leaders will also assess preparations for the Years of Youth Exchange in Russia and China for the next two years.
Besides Beijing, Medvedev will also visit University of Science and Technology of China in east China’s Anhui province on Wednesday.
China is Russia’s biggest trade partner with bilateral trade volume reaching over 40 billion US dollars last year.
