BEIJING, Sept. 23 (Xinhuanet) -- Sixty-eight people are missing after a mudslide caused by torrential rains buried a mountain village. The rains have already killed more than 100 people across Mexico.
President Enrique Pena Nieto visited the village and said there was little hope any had survived. The death toll could reach as high as 169 if the numbers were confirmed. The president said survivors would be relocated and put in a safer location.
Earlier on Saturday, at least three crew members died when a Black Hawk rescue helicopter crashed. Police said it was unclear if the helicopter had been carrying any villagers when it crashed.
Officials say more than 22,000 homes were reported damaged in Guerrero state and another 20,000 people remain in shelters.
