BEIJING, Aug. 2 (Xinhuanet) -- China has sent troops to Russia to take part in the China-Russia joint counter-terrorism exercise called Peace Mission 2013.
It comes less than a month after the two sides held their largest-ever naval drill in the Sea of Japan. And Chinese troops are already making their long train trip to the exercise site.
Six days on a train, in the vast expanse of Russia’s Siberia is about to come to an end for these Chinese troops.
It’s the first of August, and they are welcoming China’s Army Day on the train.
Everything is done in order, fatigues, army shoes, soldiers always have to stay vigilant and alert.
In just two minutes, the team of 52 soldiers are assembled.
In the narrow compartment, this special force is also able to do Kung Fu.
And they are also learning words in a new language.The troops are being taught how to say "fire away" in Russian.
In the compartment of the artillerymen, their daily work out is underway.
These soldiers will be joined by Russian forces at the exercise site in Russia’s Ural Mountains by Aug. 2.
