BEIJING, June 15 (Xinhuanet) -- A day after successfully docking with the Tiangong-1 space lab, the three astronauts of the Shenzhou-10 spacecraft have relaid the floor of the space lab.
The astronauts also installed new equipment inside Tiangong-1. They used innovative techniques to replace the old flooring inside Tiangong-1. The entire operation is significant not just from a training perspective, but also from the point of view of testing the effectiveness in space of the new materials that make up the flooring. This is expected to provide valuable data for future space module design.
Also, in what is bound to be good news for the astronauts, ground control will be monitoring the module's every move making it easier for the astronaut on night shift to catch forty winks.
