BEIJING, March 1 (Xinhuanet) -- The new Central Committee of the Communist Party of China has held its second meeting of all its members in Beijing. General Secretary Xi Jinping delivered a speech and work report.
The committee approved a list of candidates for China’s next administration. The list will be presented to the National People’s Congress session which begins next week. It also approved a list of candidates for the leadership of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference National Committee.
The committee stressed the importance of institutional restructuring as well as reform to improve people’s livelihood. It also stressed the need to reduce emissions and promote sustainable development.
