BEIJING, Dec. 6 (Xinhuanet) -- General Secretary of the Communist Party of China’s Central Committee, Xi Jinping, has called for greater international cooperation on global issues, during a meeting with foreign experts in Beijing.
Xi Jinping says the international community increasingly shares a common destiny, amid greater interconnection and interdependence. Xi says no country can "go it alone" or outshine others in today’s complex global economy.
He called on the international community to work together to deal with challenges, promote common interests and build a better planet, with a more balanced global development partnership.
Despite continuing conflicts, Xi says it is still an era of peace and development. But he warned that any countries should take the legitimate concerns of others into account when they pursue their own interests.
