BEIJING, July 17 (Xinhuanet) --China’s commitment to helping Malawi is taking the form of an Agricultural Technology Demonstration Center. The opening ceremony has been held in Salima County.
Malawi’s Agriculture Secretary and the Chinese Ambassador laid the foundation stones according to local custom. Both leaders praised the project, and expressed hopes for setting up a sustainable agricultural practice.
At the 2008 China-Africa Forum, China promised to help Africa improve its agricultural infrastructure and agricultural technology.
