BEIJING, July 4 (Xinhuanet) -- Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have test fired several ballistic missiles, including a long-range projectile capable of hitting US bases across the Persian Gulf, as well as Israel.
Local media are reporting that the missiles successfully hit their targets. Amir Ali Hajizadeh, who heads the Guards’ aerospace division, said Iran is also testing a variety of other missiles in a bid to assess their accuracy and effectiveness.
War planes are set to join the exercise on July 4th, when they’ll drop bombs on a series of dummy targets. Iran announced the missile exercise on Sunday, right after an EU embargo against Iranian crude oil came into full effect.
