BEIJING, June 5 (Xinhuanet) -- It's now confirmed: there are no survivors among the 153 people on-board. The plane crashed into a two-storey building in Nigeria's largest city of Lagos on Sunday. More than 40 casualties have been reported on the ground, adding to the heavy death toll.
At least 6 Chinese citizens living in Nigeria were on-board the plane. So far, their bodies have not been found, and their identities haven't been revealed. Chinese diplomats say they are currently in touch with their relatives and employers.
Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has declared a three-day national mourning. He has also ordered the fullest possible investigation into the crash. The Dana Airlines flight was heading from Nigeria's capital city Abuja to Lagos. The accident happened barely 24 hours after a Nigerian Allied Cargo aircraft crash-landed in Ghana, killing at least 10 people.
