BEIJING, June 4 (Xinhuanet) -- A passenger plane carrying more than 150 people crashed into a two-storey building in Nigeria’s largest city --Lagos on Sunday, killing all passengers aboard and many on the ground.

The Dana Airlines flight took off from Nigeria’s capital city Abuja to Lagos. It crashed in a residential area just outside the airport. Al-Jazeera has said people on the ground believe the aircraft may have hit a power line and then crashed into the building.

The accident happened barely 24 hours after a Nigerian Allied Cargo airplane crash-landed in Ghana, killing at least 10 people.

According to China's Xinhua news agency, at least 6 Chinese citizens were among the 153 people on board the Nigeria passenger plane. Earlier, the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria put the number at 4.
