RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- Flamengo will meet Ukraine' s Shakhtar Donetsk in a friendly next month, the Brazilian club announced on Friday.
The match will be played at Brasilia's Mane Garrincha stadium on January 18, Flamengo said on their official website.
Shakhtar's squad currently includes 13 Brazilians, including Luiz Adriano, the UEFA Champions League's top scorer this term with nine goals.
Flamengo, who finished the 2014 Brazilian Serie A season in 10th place, will begin pre-season training on January 7.
Shakhtar are currently second in Ukraine's top-flight standings, five points behind Dynamo Kyiv.
