CHANGCHUN, China, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- Chinese table tennis player Wang Hao announced his retirement in a dinner party last weekend.
Wang, the 18-time world champion, failed to win an Olympic men's singles gold medal during his career.
Wang is regarded as one of the best table tennis players in the world. The pen-holder won his first singles World Cup title in 2007.
Wang played for the Chinese national team for 16 years.
