CANBERRA, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- Three-time Asian Cup champions Iran have chosen Sydney's northern beaches as their training base to prepare for Asian Cup Australia 2015 in January.
Iran will arrive in Sydney on December 30 and train at Cromer Park on the northern beaches until January 7. Their opening match is on January 11 against Bahrain in Melbourne.
Iran enter the 2015 Asian Cup as Asia's highest ranked team. If they want to fulfill their dream of equalling Japan's record of four Asian titles, they must finish first or second in a group that also includes the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.
