RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- Brazilian giants Corinthians have signed Colombian forward Stiven Mendonza on a four-year deal, according to local media reports.
The 22-year-old agreed to join the Sao Paulo club from Indian outfit Chennaiyin on Thursday for an undisclosed fee, sports news portal Lancenet reported.
He scored four goals in nine matches during this year's debut season of the Indian Super League before being struck by injury.
Mendonza is the fourth foreign player in Corinthians' squad, joining Uruguay's Nicolas Lodeiro, Peru's Paolo Guerrero and Paraguay's Oscar Romero.
The Brazilian club will resume training after the off-season break on January 5.
