BERLIN, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- Dortmund's Nuri Sahin faces a two- month injury break, club doctor Markus Braun announced in an official statement on Wednesday.
The Turkish international underwent a knee surgery Wednesday as doctor Heinz Juergen Eichhorn removed inflamed tissue from his left knee at the Isarpark hospital.
The 25-year-old midfielder, who hasn't played since July 27, will be sidelined for another two month according to Dortmund club doctor Markus Braun.
Nuri Sahin re-joined the "BVB" in 2013 after spells at Feyernoord Rotterdam, Real Madrid and Liverpool. The midfielder plays overall since seven years for Dortmund, he scored 18 goals in 184 appearances.
