TEHRAN, July 28 (Xinhua) -- Iran clinched the most titles at the 1st WTF World Cadet Taekwondo Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan, Tasnim news agency reported on Monday.
In the male division, Iran won three gold, three silver and one bronze medals and collected a total of 82 points.
Russia finished second with one gold and three silvers for a total of 53 points, followed by South Korea with three golds for 45 points.
In the female division, Iran won four golds and one silver for a total of 74 points. Turkey stood second with two golds and five bronzes for 62 points. Chinese Taipei came next with two golds and two bronzes for 49 points.
Iran's Hossein Ali Naeimi was named the best male team coach, while Iran's Mahroo Komrani Najafabadi was selected as the best female team coach.
The 1st WTF World Cadet Taekwondo Championships, which were for the youth aged between 12 and 14 and held at the National Gymnastic Arena in Baku on July 24-27, brought 574 athletes from 65 countries and regions.
