NBA Nation makes third straight trip to China

BEIJING, July 15 (Xinhua) -- NBA Nation, the NBA's largest free fan basketball and lifestyle touring event, will travel over 16,900 kilometers across China for the third consecutive year from July 19 to Sept. 14, offering fans of all ages an opportunity to participate in basketball contest, stay active and healthy with NBA players, Legends and dance teams.

The Houston Rockets Power Dancers and Miami Heat Mascot "Burnie" will kick off the festivities in Guangzhou on July 19. Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors will attend the Shenzhen stop on July 25 to participate in basketball activities and interact with fans.

As the tour continues, other NBA players will make appearances, including Miles Plumlee of the Phoenix Suns and Mason Plumlee of the Brooklyn Nets, Reggie Jackson of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Ben McLemore of the Sacramento Kings.

Fans will have the opportunity to showcase their skills at the NBA Nation Peak 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament in all 14 cities. The respective city champion of the tournament will win NBA merchandise and Peak products, with the overall champion awarded a trip to the U.S. to watch an NBA game and interact with NBA players. More than 900 teams will compete in the tournament this year.

In its continued effort to promote healthy lifestyle, NBA China will partner with the China Youth Development Foundation to conduct NBA FIT Clinics. During the clinics, NBA players and Legends will teach students basketball skills and lead them through a series of exercise routines while emphasizing the importance of living an active, healthy lifestyle.
