TEHRAN, July 10 (Xinhua) -- Bosnia and Herzegovina World Cup coach, Safet Susic, said he had received an offer to take charge of the Iranian soccer team but had rejected that, Tehran Times daily reported on Thursday.
"It is true that the two Iranian managers called me and offered me the job, but I told them I'm not interested in. First, I want to see what happens in negotiations with Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Federation," Susic was quoted as saying.
"I never said I want to go. I do not know what will happen. Our last game against Iran showed that we have a lot of young players with whom it would be nice to work in the future," he said.
Susic announced his retirement after Bosnia and Herzegovina World Cup exit. His contract has expired with Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Federation, but it is expected he remains in charge of the European country until the European Championship in 2016.
Bosnia lost to Argentina and Nigeria and defeated Iran in Group F of the 2014 World Cup.
