NEW YORK, June 26 (Xinhua) -- The Cleveland Cavaliers selected Canadian Andrew Wiggins of the University of Kansas with their No. 1 pick in the 2014 NBA Draft on Thursday at the Barclays Center here.
Wiggins, 19, is the son of former NBA player Mitchell Wiggins. He is a sophomore of Kansas and can play small forward and shooting guard positions.
This was the third No. 1 pick in the last four years for the Cavaliers, and the sixth time overall in the franchise history.
