FORTALEZA, Brazil, June 16 (Xinhua) -- Brazil will play Mexico in their second World Cup finals Group A game but Hulk is doubtful as the Brazil forward missed training on Monday.
A CT scan showed that the Zenit St. Petersburg striker does not have a serious muscle injury after hurting his thigh Sunday in training.
Coach Luiz Felipe Scolari said he would wait until the game before he decides on the line-up.
"We'll see how things transpire and decide before the match," said Scolari on Monday.
Hulk, who started Brazil's opening 3-1 win over Croatia, is hoping to make the date, nonetheless.
"There is no way I want to miss this game, because it will be in the north-east and all my family will be there," he said Sunday.
Should Hulk not make the match, Chelsea midfielder Ramires and 21-year-old Bernard could come into contention for a starting spot.
Brazil will play Mexico in Fortaleza on Tuesday as the winner would be guaranteed a spot in the next round if Cameroon and Croatia draw their match on Wednesday in Manaus.
Brazil lost seven of the last 15 matches against Mexico, including the 2012 Olympic Games final.
