WASHINGTON, May 29 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. men's national team captain Clint Dempsey underwent improvement in his left groin on Thursday, and he was ready to play for the team in the World Cup warm-up match against Turkey this weekend.
The U.S. team finished the two-week training camp at Stanford, California on Thursday. The 23-man squad would move to the eastern part of the country to prepare for the Sunday's match.
The U.S. would play Germany, Portugal and Ghana in Group G at the coming World Cup tournament in Brazil.
