BUENOS AIRES, May 7 (Xinhua) -- Argentina's Lanus will play Bolivia's Bolivar Thursday at its home stadium in the first leg of quarterfinals for the Libertadores Cup.
The match will take place at 7:45 pm local time (2245 GMT) at Lanus city's Nestor Diaz Perez Stadium, with Peru's Victor Hugo Carrillo as referee.
Lanus, which is coached by Guillermo Barros Schelotto, saw off Mexico's Santos Laguna in previous round, while Bolivar also advanced after victory over a Mexican team, Leon.
Lanus recently tied Gimnasia, one of the two top teams of Argentina's Closing Tournament, along with River Plate, 0-0, in day 17 of the competition.
In the Closing Tournament, which only has two more game days to go, Lanus has so far accumulated 27 points, just four points less than the top teams.
Meanwhile, Bolivar, which is coached by Spain's Xabier Azkargorta, lost 2-0 to Real Potosi as part of day 18 of Bolivia's Closing Tournament.
Bolivar ranks in fifth place nationally, with 27 points, eight points below rivals San Jose and Universitario de Sucre.
The winners of the tie will go on to play in the semifinals against the winner of the match between San Lorenzo and Cruzeiro.
