MADRID, May 3 (Xinhua) -- Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed on Saturday that Iker Casillas will return in goal for his side's last two Primera Liga games of the season.
Casillas has been first choice for his side in the King's Cup knockout competition and also Champions League, while Diego Lopez has played in the BBVA Primera Liga all campaign.
However, after seeing his side qualify for the final of the Champions League final thanks to a stunning 4-0 away to Bayern Munich on Tuesday, Ancelotti has decided to give Casillas the chance to maintain his form until that all-important game is played on May 24.
"I have spoken to both of the goalkeepers and they are in agreement. This Sunday Diego Lopez will play in goal against Valencia and also against next week Celta Vigo and Iker Casillas will play against Valladolid and Espanyol," confirmed the Real Madrid coach in his press conference on Saturday ahead of Sunday's game at home to Valencia.
"I have taken the decision because I don't think it would be fair to leave out Casillas," he commented.
Ancelotti added that German midfielder Sami Khedira would make his return from a cruciate knee operation on Sunday and that the club would organize a friendly game in order to give German, who has been sidelined for over 6 months, some much needed game time.
