MANILA, April 16 (Xinhua) -- China beat Kazakhstan on Wednesday in three straight sets, 25-17, 25-14, 25-20, in the battle for third place in the 2014 Asian Men's Club Volleyball tournament.

China rebounded from their defeat to Iran in the semifinals as the quartet of Belgian import Wijismans Wout, Liang Chunglong, Yang Fan, and Canadian import Frederic Winters impressed on the court and combined for 45 points.

Wout, 37, a naturalized Italian who played for Saudi Arabia last year, emerged the best scorer for China with 15 points from 33 attempts and three service aces.

"We're satisfied. We bring home the bronze medal to China," said Wout.

Earlier, Chinese Taipei whipped Iraq, 25-22, 25-18, 25-19, for the fifth spot.
