MADRID, Apr 12 (Xinhua) -- Real Madrid hammered Almeria 4-0 on Saturday with goals from Di Maria, Bale, Isco and Morata, despite Cristiano Ronaldo's absence for injury.
Di Maria scored the first goal after 27 minutes into the game, and Bale doubled the lead on 52 minutes, followed by goals from Isco and Morata.
Cristiano Ronaldo arrived in Madrid on Friday and began to work with the physiotherapist in order to be back in time for Madrid first-leg clash against Bayern Munich in the Champions League semifinal to be held on April 23 at Santiago Bernabeu.
With Madrid's victory, FC Barcelona dropped to third in La Liga after they were stunned by Granada 1-0 on Saturday at Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes in Granada.
Granada's Yacine Brahimi scored the winner on 16 minutes, frustrating Barcelona who boasted a high percentage of the possession.
In the same week, Barca was eliminated by Atletico Madrid in the Champions League quarters on Wednesday.
Granada had suffered three consecutive defeats before beating Barca on Saturday evening.
