BEIJING, March 28 (Xinhua) -- Defending champions Guangzhou Evergrande rebounded from a shock home defeat to Changchun Yatai last week and breezed past Jiangsu Sainty 2-0 on road in the fourth round of 2014 Chinese Super League (CSL) on Friday.

Jiangsu's goalkeeper Guan Zhen failed to catch the ball when Italian striker Alessandro Diamanti fired his fatal free kick in the 26th minute, and Brazilian forward Elkeson slotted in to gift Guangzhou 1-0 lead.

In 42nd minute, Elkeson dashed into Jiangsu's penalty box, slipped the ball across to Brazilian midfielder Rene, and the latter made it 2-0. The result did not change in the second half.

Visitors Beijing Guoan lost 1-0 to Shanghai SIPG. Tobias Hysen scored the only goal to help Shanghai SIPG sit top of the CSL table with 10 points from four games.

Beijing Guoan enjoyed a flying start of the season, winning all the first three matches without conceding a single goal.

The CSL runners-up of last season, Shandong Luneng beat Liaoning Whowin 1-0 with Vagner Love's superb goal in the 43rd minute of the first half.

Shanghai Shenxin upset FA Cup winners Guizhou Renhe 1-0 on road, ending its three straight losses in the first three rounds.
