ROME, March 18 (Xinhua) -- Roma captain Francesco Totti hoped that his side could stay put so as to win the Serie A title next season.
The 37-year-old conceded that their chances to grab the Scudetto this season are almost over.
"The Scudetto? It's a real long shot now. It's 99 percent gone," he said.
"But next year we believe we can win it, though to do that no one can leave, including Rudi Garcia. I hope that Pjanic can stay, he is a player of great quality," he said.
"We are a very united group, like the one in 2001 when we won the Scudetto," he said.
The Roma veteran wished he could play the upcoming World Cup with Antonio Cassano.
"I would take Cassano to the World Cup. Alongside myself? If I am fit and well, why not?" he said.
