BERLIN, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- Germany international Sven Bender will be out of action owing to a groin injury, the "BVB" said on its website on Sunday.

Thus, Juergen Klopp's team did not only lose 3-0 to struggling Hamburg but they also lost Sven Bender to an injury. The Germany international suffered an inflammation of the pubic joint, an examination by team doctor Markus Braun revealed Sunday.
Therefore Bender will be ruled out for around ten weeks, according to doctor Braun.
The 24-year-old defensive midfielder has to avoid any sporting activity for six weeks besides that he will need a four-week recuperation period.
