THE HAGUE, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- Ajax eased to a 3-0 win over sc Heerenveen in Amsterdam on Sunday to stay league leaders in the Dutch Eredivisie.

Ajax took a comfortable 2-0 lead through two early penalties in the 12th and 18th minute. The first was awarded after a foul by Joey van den Berg on Siem de Jong and the second was given after a hand ball by Stefano Marzo. Lasse Schone converted both penalties. Ajax had no problems in the remainder of the match and in the 82nd minute Schone added his third goal for his first hat-trick in professional football.

Also on Sunday Feyenoord dropped points against NAC Breda (1-1). Daryl Janmaat gave Feyenoord the lead, but the Rotterdam based team was not able to convert more chances. Ten minutes from half-time NAC equalized through a penalty by Rydell Poepon, after a handball by Miquel Nelom.

Feyenoord striker Graziano Pelle missed some good chances before and after half-time. The home-team ended the match with ten men after substitute Stipe Perica was handed a red card for a tackle on Janmaat.

On Saturday number two FC Twente beat number four Vitesse 2-0, thanks to goals by Luc Castaignos and Dusan Tadic. After 24 match rounds Ajax are on 51 points, four ahead of FC Twente, seven ahead of Feyenoord and eight ahead of Vitesse.
