SOCHI, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- Poland's Kamil Stoch won the men's large hill individual gold medal at the Olympic skiing jumping competition here Saturday.
The reigning world champion scored 278.7 points from two jumps, beating Japanese Noriaki Kasai into second place by 1.3.
Slovenia's Peter Prevc took the bronze with 274.8.
Stoch is the third ski jumper, after Finland's Matti Nykaenen (1988) and Swiss Simon Ammann (2002, 2010), to sweep the normal and large hill gold medals in the Olympics.
Kasai, 41, had won a silver in the team event 20 years ago in Lillehammer.
