ROME, Feb. 12 (Xinhua) -- Roma head coach Rudi Garcia admitted his side made mistakes in their Coppa Italia semifinal loss to Napoli Wednesday evening.
The Giallorossi were denied the passage to the final after they lost 3-0 in the second leg at Napoli, crashing out of the competition despiet winning the first leg 3-2.
"Perhaps we lost the qualification in the first leg, as we conceded two goals when we were 2-0 up," Garcia told the post-match press conference.
He felt sad to see his players squandered chances before the break.
"This evening we had three chances to score in the first half and didn't make the most of them. We should've been more ruthless in attack and also in defense, as we made mistakes in both legs," he said.
"If there was a side that should've been in front at half-time, then it was us. The fact we weren't was our fault," he said.
He chose to see the positive side of the loss for his side.
"As for Roma, we've got to think positive because we do create chances in every game. The key to the future is to be more effective up front," he said.
