LUSAKA, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- Zambia' s 2014 CAF Champions league envoys, Nkana, have expressed confidence of progressing to the next round despite a poor start in the campaign, the Post of Zambia reported on Monday.
The 2013 Zambian league champions lost 0-2 to Swaziland' s Mbabane Swallows in the first leg of the preliminary round played away in Mbabane at the Somhlolo National Statdium.
Masautso Mwale, the coach of the Zambian team, said his side could still qualify to the next round of the competition, saying it will be a different ball game in the return leg.
"We just gave them the game with defensive errors; we just have to work on the errors. The artificial turf also took a toll on our ball control. But we are still in the game; it will be a different ball game at our own turf. We can make it happen, we saw the way they are playing," he was quoted as saying by the paper.
The Swaziland side took the lead on 62 minutes through Zimbabwean striker Kudzanayi Matanda and later doubled the lead four minutes later through Felix Bardenhost. The Zambian side will need to score three unanswered goals when the two teams meet this Saturday.
