WASHINGTON, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- Elite scorer Carmelo Anthony hit 35 points to help the New York Knicks roll over the Los Angeles Lakers 110-103 on Sunday.
Anthony had another 30-plus NBA game after a bagging 62 points two days ago. The Knicks won the second straight game and stayed on the 10th place of the Eastern Conference with a 17-27 record, one win behind the eighth-placed Charlotte Bobcats.
Starting point guard Raymond Felton had 20 points and five assists for the Knicks. Tim Hardaway Jr. and J.R. Smith contributed 18 and 16 points respectively from the bench.
Jodie Meeks topped the Lakers with 24 points. Pau Gasol took home 20 points and 13 rebounds. Manny Harris added 18.
The Knicks would next encounter the Boston Celtics on Tuesday.
