BEIJING, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- Guangdong Hongyuan's former NBA player Yi Jianlian scored team-high 30 points and grabbed 18 rebounds as the defending champions claimed a 104-82 road victory over Shanxi Fenjiu in the 12th round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Wednesday.
Guangdong's Joshua Powell finished with 16 points and 13 rebounds, Wang Shipeng had 17 points, including five three-pointers, and Zhu Fangyu and Zhou Peng combined with 28 points.
The Beijing Ducks, who were playing without former NBA star Stephon Marbury, lost 98-86 to Shandong Gold.
Shandong's Eugene Jeter achieved a three-double of 31 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists, and four of his teammates scored double-digit points, too.
Beijing's Randolph Morris scored 24 points and pulled down seven rebounds but he had no points in the last quarter. Sun Yue, also a former NBA player, got only four points.
"It's difficult to take a road victory in Shandong. Despite the unpleasant result, our players tried their best," said Beijing Ducks coach Min Lulei.
Newly promoted Sichuan Jinqiang nipped Bayi Fubang 96-95. Bayi's veteran center Wang Zhizhi finished with 21 points and 11 rebounds, but his turnover at the last moment smashed Bayi's hopes to win at home.
Sichuan's Zhang Zongxian had a team-high 36 points, Michael Efevberha helped with 35 points and 8 rebounds, and D.J. White added 14 points and 3 blocks.
Elsewhere in the CBA, Fujian SBS beat Jinlin Northeast Tigers 119-107, Zhejiang Guangsha downed Jiangsu Dragons 102-94 to end Jiangsu's four-game winning streak.
Xinjiang Guanghui defeated Foshan Long Lions 103-86, Dongguan Marco Polo beat Qingdao Doublestars 100-93, and Shanghai Sharks routed Liaoning Hengye 114-89.
In Tuesday's game, Tianjin Ronggang edged Zhejiang Chouzhou 115-113 in overtime. Zhejiang's Ivan Johnson finished with 54 points and 19 rebounds, but Tianjin played tougher and five pf their players scored double digits.
