WASHINGTON, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- The New York Knicks overwhelmed the Brooklyn Nets 113-83 on Thursday to end their nine-game losing streak.
Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 19 points, and he also contributed 10 rebounds and six assists. Andrea Bargnani got 16 points before being ejected in the fourth quarter. Iman Shumpert had a personal season-high 17 points.
Nets was only trailed by seven after two quarters, but the game went into the rhythm of the Knicks from the very beginning of the second half. The Knicks hit 16 out of their first 21 shots to end the third quarter 34-16, bringing a 25-point advantage into the final quarter.
The Nets couldn't find the way back, allowing the opponent to finish the game with a 30-point margin.
Brook Lopez topped the Nets with 24 points. Joe Johnson had 13.
